PLANES…

Flights to the French Alps
There are numerous options for flights from UK airports with budget airlines, scheduled and charter flights. The nearest airport is Chambery (approx 2 hours) but there is a much greater selection of flights to Geneva (2 hours 30 mins) or Lyon (2 hours 45 mins). There are also budget airline routes to Grenoble (around 3 hours).

TRANSFERS to Chalet Hotel Les Melezes & Tignes

We provide a low cost transfer service to/from Geneva with set timings to serve several flights.  The cost is £25 p/p each way. Our short break rates INCLUDE evening transfers from Geneva.  Please be aware, our transfers are not tailor made to suit individual flights, we endeavour to keep waiting times for our guests to an absolute minimum but we recommend only using our transfers if you are relaxed about the possibility of waiting a short time. Always check possible transfer timings before booking flights.

There are also several companies offering private transfers from all of the above airports, these frequently cost around £70 - £100 per person return (sometimes more!). 
Alternatives are car hire from the airport, or public bus services running from Chambery, Lyon and Geneva many of which stop outside the door of Les Melezes.
 

TRAINS…

The nearest station is Bourg St Maurice - the end of the line. The journey to Tignes Les Boisses takes about 25 minutes. Eurostar runs direct from London & Ashford, or you can take Eurostar to Paris or Lille & change to a sleeper train.
French Motor-rail operates from Paris with overnight sleeper carriages if you’d like to take your car without driving all the way.
 

AUTOMOBILES…

Tignes Les Boisses is about 9.5 hours from Calais, mostly on motorway. This can be a very reasonable way to get to this part of France for a small party (depending on your car’s running costs!). There are cheap ferries and petrol is less expensive over the channel. Motorway tolls cost around £60 return.
With your own transport in the resort, you will have total freedom. Please contact us for ferry recommendations and suggested routes. We have several parking spaces outside Les Melezes, there are no parking charges.
